H.O.D. HOSPITALITY AND INSTITUTIONAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Hospitality and Institutional Management Department is one of the academic Departments at OTVC. The department deals in imparting knowledge, skills and attitudes to trainees to become competent Hair dressers, Beauty therapists and Caterers for the hospitality industry.

The department offers three programs of study. These are the TVET, NITA and CBET which were introduced in compliance with the TVET act 2013.

The TVET courses are examined by KNEC while CBET courses are examined by TVETCDACC. NITA courses are offered especially to take care of the trainees who did not reach form four level. They do NITA examinations.

The Department is served by a team of qualified Trainers and boasts of the only Degree holder in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy in the country. This gives the section vantage position in offering Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy or level 6 under CBET courses.
